North American sales of farm combines and 4WD tractor comparisons continued at a robust pace in October, which is a seasonally important sales month for large ag equipment, according to the latest data released by the Assn. of Equipment Manufacturers.
North American large farm equipment sales were mixed during February, which is one of the seasonally weakest months of the year for ag machinery sales.
“Tractor sales appear to have peaked in early 2009 and continued to soften in seasonally important April, combine sales remained relatively healthy,” says Robert McCarthy, analyst for RW Baird, in assessing the April 2009 North American ag equipment retail sales from the Assn. of Equipment Manufacturers.
