The John Deere dealership in Wimbledon, N.D., is closing, and the Deere dealership in nearby Cooperstown, N.D., is becoming an independent dealer.
Barnes County Implement in Wimbledon is expected to close by Oct. 1.
Cooper Implement in Cooperstown in the process of switching to independent status, say Kevin Roy and his son, Anthony Roy. They manage the stores, which are owned by Bill Roy, Kevin’s father.
Anthony Roy emphasizes that the Cooperstown dealership, which is keeping its name, will remain open.
“We’re still there to serve the community and surrounding area,” with the same staff, he says.
