Terry Enepekides, President and CEO of JLD-Laguë, ihas announced that they have concluded the acquisition of Transdiff and Centre de Transmission JDH.
Together, Transdiff and Centre de Transmission JDH have been leaders in the sale of new trucks and in Peterbilt parts and services since 2002. They have a long history as specialized repair workshops for transmissions and differential gears, dating back to 1976. Between them, Transdiff and JDH have 180 employees, five locations and 55 service bays across the following territories: Québec (head office), Lévis, St-Georges de Beauce, Saguenay and St-Félicien.
Mr. Enepekides sees this transaction as a milestone in the growth of JLD-Laguë Group. “This transaction will allow our company to continue to develop on its solid foundations consisting of great expertise in diesel mechanics, OEM sales and aftermarket support.”
John Deere and Peterbilt operations will be managed as two separate divisions. For this purpose and reporting to Mr. Terry Enepekides, a General Manager for the Peterbilt Division has been hired. Mr. Jocelyn Martel will be the General Manager for the Peterbilt Division. For the last three years, Jocelyn has been the General Sales Manager for Cummins Canada covering the provinces of Quebec and the Maritimes. Previously, he held the position of General Manager of the Quebec Branch for Cummins Eastern Canada. An experienced advisor and manager, Jocelyn has strong management skills and an in-depth knowledge of the customers and the trucking market. He is well positioned to help our Peterbilt division in setting up its strategic plan based on the growth of its business segments. Jocelyn will be starting in his new role in May.
With the addition of Jocelyn, the support of the JLD-Laguë Group and all employees of Transdiff and JDH, the company will move forward and strengthen its position with customers and the industry.
For Mr. Pouliot, President of Transdiff who is retiring following the announcement, this transaction is important for the continuity of the two companies and wishes good luck to the new group. “I had a lot of fun working in this area and I want to thank the employees, customers, and suppliers for their support over all these years.” The unification of the two companies will create several favourable opportunities for our customers and employees, while expanding our presence across Quebec.
