Forge Resources announced on July 1, 2019, that they have officially acquired Star Manufacturing of Freeport, Ill. and added them to their group. This brings their total number of locations up to 6 — 5 in Ill. and 1 in Mich.

For over 140 years, Star Mfg. has been a leader in the manufacture of hot formed, forged, and heat-treated parts using a broad range of specialized metal forming equipment and efficient work cells. They also specialize in creating custom manufacturing solutions for some of the largest agricultural and transportation equipment manufacturers.

This unification furthers Forge Resources Group’s vision of providing top-tier forgings by adding Star Mfg.’s breadth of knowledge and deep experience to their roster of capabilities. Star Mfg. will continue to operate under the new moniker Star Freeport Company.
