On April 30, the company broke ground on a new facility in St. Georgen, Austria, around 3 miles from its headquarters in Grieskirchen.
The company plans to invest 25 million euros ($27.2 million) in the first stage of construction on a 6,300 square meters (67,812 square feet) new facility on the 17 hectare (42 acres) site, which will assembly round balers and rakes starting in the summer of 2021 at the latest.
This is Pöttinger's third construction project in its home country of Austria, following the expansion of its plant in Grieskirchen and the building of a new spare parts logistics center in Taufkirchen.
