According to a report from Nikkei, the two companies will collaborate to manufacture a new tractor brand to be sold in Eastern Europe, Africa and other regions.
Tractors sold in South Africa will be manufactured at Escorts' facility in the Indian state of Haryana, while tractors sent to Eastern Europe will be manufactured in Escorts' plant in Poland.
The joint venture will be aimed toward tractors between 26-99 horsepower, to be sold in a price range of 1-1.5 million yen ($9,291-$13,927).
Both Kubota and Mahindra have begun increasing their presence in worldwide markets, including Algeria, Japan and India.
