Following the closure of its Alberta remanufacturing facility, Deere is planning to expand its operations in Missouri, including adding drivetrain and hydraulic remanufacturing to its John Deere Reman facility. According to a report from KY3, the expansion will create 130 jobs, on top of the 400 employees Deere already has in Springfield.
“By consolidating operations and creating a center of excellence in Springfield, the company is well positioned for future growth," says Jena Holtberg-Benge, manager, John Deere Reman Business.
The report stated that, "John Deere Reman remanufactures engines, fuel and electronics components for agriculture and construction customers around the world."
On March 5, Global News reported that John Deere was consolidating all its remanufacturing operations to Springfield, Mo., resulting in the closure of its Nisku, Alta., facility, bringing the manufacturer to 3 total remanufacturing facilities.
