In its 2Q21 earnings report, Doosan Bobcat reported sales revenue of $1,145 million, up 45.2% from $788 million in the second quarter of 2020. Sales increased on the back of an increase in demand following economic recovery in major markets.
Operating profit for the second quarter increased 138% year-over-year $125 million due to increased sales, improved product mix and reduced marketing expenses despite a cost burden from material and logistics.
The company added its net profit margin improved significantly due to increased operating profit, rising to 7.2% in the second quarter 2021 from 4.3% in the same quarter 2020. Net profit for the second quarter was $83 million, up 144.9% from $34 million in the same quarter last year.
North American sales for the second quarter represented 72% of total sales and totaled $820 million, up 41.1% year-over-year.
