During my visit to Titan Machinery’s Grundy Center, Iow a, store on March 9, it was obvious that a lot of forethought and planning went into the facility.
David Meyer, Titan’s chairman & CEO, says the building was designed to emphasize the company's parts and service business.
Store manager Troy Price says the tiered back lot of the dealership is something he’s not seen at any other farm equipment dealership. With this arrangement, the front row of equipment on display is at normal ground level, but the back row is elevated so that the machinery in both rows is easily viewed from a single vantage point.
Another innovation at the Grundy Center location is the expo room and training center located just off the dealership’s showroom. In addition to staff training in the classroom and a place to display “big” equipment, the training and expo areas are also used by community groups for a variety of meetings and other evening functions. The Titan dealership has become Grundy Center’s meeting place.
The following photos show many of the unique attributes of the Titan Machinery dealership. By the way, the last two photos are of happy Titan Machinery customers of the Grundy Center store.
