JCB is forging ahead with measures to help operators of its construction and agricultural machinery switch from diesel to hydrogen in future by ramping up development of a hydrogen-fueled engine and laying plans to source and distribute hydrogen produced using renewable energy.
Earlier this year, the global group headquartered in the UK unveiled a prototype spark-ignition engine based on the 4.8-liter JCB EcoMax and DieselMax engines but fueled by hydrogen gas.
