Camp Equipment, a John Deere dealer with 45 years of experience, recently completed its purchase of the long standing Hollingsworth John Deere dealership. Camp Equipment will continue doing business through the three stores at Ontario, Ore., Burns, Ore., and Weiser, Idaho.
Davin Peterson, general manager for the new owner, said Camp Equipment was excited for the opportunity to serve local growers and consumers with quality John Deere and related products. Peterson has worked for a John Deere dealer organization for over 20 years. He said nearly all of the employees were retained and that he was thankful for the great service they have been providing customers on a day-to-day basis. “In order to provide quality service a successful business needs quality people and we have them in all our stores.”
Peterson said the scope of the business would focus on John Deere tractors and implements for agriculture, residential and public sectors. After necessary changes have been implemented in the structure of the organization, an open house will be held so the new owners can meet customers and share with them future plans.
