In an Oct. 2 SEC filing, John Deere stated that Marc Howze had announced his intention to retire as senior advisor, office of the chairman, effective Feb. 15, 2024. Howze had assumed this position in October 2022.

Howze joined Deere in 2001 as an attorney and later served as senior attorney, senior counsel, and associate general counsel and corporate secretary. Within Deere's Ag & Turf division, Howze held positions including manager of business development, turf-care factory manage, and global director of the cotton-harvesting product line.

Howze was named senior vice president and chief administrative officer in 2016 and group president, lifecycle solutions, and chief administrative officer in 2020.
