In April, inventory levels of high-horsepower tractors (300 horsepower and up) in the U.S. surged by almost 107% year-over-year, according to a May 9 report from Reuters. Combine inventory increased 17.6%, according to data from Sandhills Global. Mitch Helman, sales manager at Sandhills Global, told Reuters there’s currently a 70% gap between auction and retail for planters, a high not observed since May 2015. Source: Sandhills Global
