HUTCHINSON, Minn. — Ag Systems Inc., based in Hutchinson, Minn., one of the oldest and largest Case IH dealers of application-specific equipment in North America, is expanding its physical footprint by opening a new facility in Garrison, N.D.
The facility has more than 8,500 square feet dedicated to equipment service, parts inventory and on-site sales. It is located 6 miles east of Garrison on State Highway 83. The Garrison facility will provide parts and service for Case IH sprayers and floaters in addition to offering a full line of equipment and parts to address customer needs in the area of crop production input equipment. Ag Systems sells Case IH equipment and manufactures its own line of product-handling equipment.
While the overall agriculture industry is facing challenging commodity prices, Ag Systems continues to invest in infrastructure and offerings to support ag retailers. This segment continues to benefit from trends that favor custom application and data services. Weed resistance continues to increase, causing more complexity in spraying and crop management. In addition, farming complexity is increasing as well, and retailers are uniquely positioned to help farmers navigate technology and data tools to maximize effectiveness. The addition of the new facility, as well as the addition of a Yield360 distributorship, helps Ag Systems customers take advantage of these trends.
Craig Lenz, president of Ag Systems, noted, "The Lenz family built our business by providing products, service and support to the ag retail industry. We continue to make investments in this space, regardless of market conditions, to provide our customers with the best products and support available. Expanding our physical presence to Garrison, N.D., is simply another example of our continuing commitment to this industry and these customers."
The Garrison facility will be fully operational by early 2016 in preparation for the spring application season.
