AGCO Reports Net Sales Down 3% in 4Q19

AGCO, a manufacturer and distributor of agricultural equipment and solutions, reported net sales of approximately $2.5 billion for the fourth quarter of 2019, a decrease of approximately 3% compared to the fourth quarter of 2018.

AGCO has revealed plans for further development of the Future Farm project in Zambia. This was announced on July 31, 2019, at the 150 hectares (371 acres) farm outside Lusaka by Gary Collar, AGCO senior vice president and general manager, Asia Pacific and Africa (APA) and the Future Farm senior manager, Kalongo Chitengi, during a ground breaking ceremony.

Fendt Aiming for 20,000 Tractor Sales in 2020

Recovering sales of Fendt-built tractors in the North American market, thanks largely to the introduction of new 400-500 horsepower wheeled models, are expected to get a further shot in the arm with the launch of a new range of 300-415 horsepower models using similar hi-tech features, including a row crop version clearly targeting the Midwest Corn Belt.
