Linamar Corp., which owns the MacDon, Salford and Bourgault brands of ag equipment, reported on Nov. 12 that its 3Q sales were up 8.3% to $2.64 billion.
From conversations with ag equipment suppliers, Linamar is continuing to extend its automotive supply, or what was known as a “purchasing warrior,” strategy.
Linamar Corp. announced Dec. 20 an agreement to acquire Canadian implement manufacturer Bourgault Industries out of St. Brieux, Sask., for C$640 million.
In its 2022 earnings released March 8, Linamar, which owns the MacDon and Salford equipment lines, reported $7.9 billion in revenue, up 21.1% year-over-year. Revenue for 4Q22 came in at $2.1 billion.
During the first quarter of 2021, Linamar experienced strong sales growth, up 15% vs. the first quarter 2020 and outstanding normalized net earnings growth, up 2.3 times in comparison to last year.
A groundbreaking ceremony for MacDon was held at Sun Prairie Business Park in Sun Prairie, Wis. on March 27. The new facility will open in fall of 2019.
