According to a recent report from the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, bankers responding to the first-quarter survey reported overall better conditions across most regions of the Eleventh District.
Bankers responding to the third-quarter agricultural conditions survey reported overall weaker conditions across most regions of the Eleventh District, which includes Texas, 26 parishes in northern Louisiana and 18 counties in southern New Mexico.
Bankers responding to the second quarter survey reported overall weaker conditions across most regions of the Eleventh District. They noted that dry conditions are putting a strain on agricultural production despite some rainfall in late May.
The January 2020 Beige Book, released by the Federal Reserve System, included conditions impacting agriculture throughout the country. In this edition, it was noted that agricultural conditions were mixed across the districts, impacted by low commodity prices, trade conflicts, drought and the signing of the USMCA.
