Krone, the hay and forage equipment specialist based in Spelle, Germany, is reporting sales of $1.65 billion (1.2 billion euros) for the fiscal period of August 1, 2010 through July 31, 2011. Bernard Krone, managing director of the firm, calls the 77% increase “stunning.”
North America is Krone’s largest export market for its haying equipment, which is distributed through 350 dealerships. Its North American operations are headquartered in Memphis, Tenn., and Reno, Nev.
