New Delhi — Escorts Agri Machinery has registered 7,642 tractor sales in November 2019, down 4.5% compared to 8,005 units sold in the same month last year, according to ETauto.com.
Domestic tractor sales fell to 7,379 units last month, a drop of 3.4% compared with 7,641 units sold in November 2018.
The agricultural machinery manufacturer also reported that exports were down to 263 units in November 2019, a year-over-year drop of 27.7% from the same month in 2018, when it sold 364 tractors.
Cumulatively, the company sold 59,324 tractors in the Indian market during April-November 2019 period, down 8.7% compared with the same duration in FY19.
However, the company has seen a surge in export numbers in the first 8 months of the current fiscal year, as it exported 2,472 tractors during April-November of FY20, up 47.3% compared with the same period of last fiscal.
