Sigourney Tractor & Implement signed documents today to complete the acquisition of Precision Equipment. This acquisition creates a new company, Sinclair Tractor, with 11 John Deere dealerships across southeast Iowa, serving customers in Iowa, Missouri and Illinois.

Sigourney Tractor & Implement and the Precision Equipment leadership teams have been working closely to ensure the transition is as smooth as possible. “The most important thing is that both our employees and our customers see only a positive impact from this change,” said Sinclair.

With over 270 employees, Sinclair Tractor is looking forward to retaining and attracting the best people to move the company forward in an ever-changing Ag economy, while staying connected to our local communities. Customers will be greeted by the same familiar employees. “At Sinclair Tractor we don’t just have employees, we have families,” states Sinclair, “and we have a responsibility to take care of those families.”

With the inception of Yield Force in 2009, Sigourney Tractor & Implement quickly moved to the forefront of John Deere GPS Technology, and as Sinclair Tractor they are excited to expand their services to an even larger segment of customers. Yield Force is an exclusive Sinclair Tractor program designed to take precision farming to the next level. It allows growers to fully utilize the GreenStar systems they already own to improve the efficiency of their farming operations and provides assistance in making the tough agronomic decisions required to remain profitable.

Sinclair Tractor is looking forward to the opportunities that lie ahead for the company, but most importantly for their customers. Locations will include Bloomfield, Centerville, Durant, Fairfield, Houghton, Mediapolis, Muscatine, Ottumwa, Sigourney, Washington, Winfield.
