The Republic of Ireland’s tractor market mirrored the pattern seen in most countries around Europe in 2020 as the intervention of Covid-19 bore down on deliveries of new machines.
Sales were weak at the start of the year and remained steady through to March but come the end of April, registrations were down 43% on the same month of the prior year and the market lagged behind 2019 figures by almost 8% to that point.
