Belkorp Ag, a Modesto, Calif.-based John Deere dealership with four locations, is planning to build a new store, reports The Modesto Bee. The new store would replace Belkorp's current store in Modesto on Crows Landing Road and Whitmore Avenue. The plans include a 57,000 square-foot two-story facility and will provide more space for service than is available at the Crows Landing store. 

Nathan Green, COO of Belkorp Ag, told The Modesto Bee the plans are still preliminary. "We don’t own the land. It needs to be zoned appropriately before we can purchase the property," he says. 

“We are happy they are staying within the county,” Angela Freitas, planning and community development director, told the paper. “This is the type of development we were hoping for along this corridor. Hopefully, it will create a synergy for other things to develop.”
