One Equity Partners, a middle market private equity firm, today announced that it has made a minority investment in agricultural tractor attachment equipment maker CBM.

The FAA recently granted Texas-based drone manufacturer Hylio a regulatory exemption that allows 1 operator to simultaneously pilot 3 heavy-lift drones instead of requiring an operator and observer per 1 drone over 55 pounds. 

The press release cited staff shortages and an uncertain agricultural market as reasons the company is leaving the large ag equipment business.

The extensive investment will allow the building of a clean energy laboratory to test fuel cells for alternative fuels and select electric drives that will reduce farmers’ fleet emissions.
