Cervus Equipment (TSX:CERV) and Rocky Mountain Dealerships (TSX:RME), western Canada’s largest farm equipment dealers are electing to pay a dividend to shareholders. Both dealership groups are headquartered in Calgary, Alb.
Raven Industries reported consolidated net sales of $85.2 million, down 13.1% during the second quarter of its fiscal year ended July 31, 2020. Growth in Applied Technology and Aerostar was more than offset by a decline in Engineered Films.
Titan Machinery, Case IH’s largest dealer of farm equipment, reported consolidated revenues slipped 3.7% for the period ended July 31, 2020, but year-over-year sales from its agriculture segment increased by 2% for the quarter.
Deere & Co. reported consolidated net sales and revenues of $8.9 billion during its third quarter ended Aug. 2, 2020 vs. $10 billion in the same period a year earlier, a decline of 11%. Equipment operations came in at $7.9 billion during the period compared to nearly $9 billion last year, also a drop off of 12%.
Despite a falloff in Canadian sales, U.S. and International markets helped bolster Ag Growth International’s (AGI) results during the second quarter 2020.
Sales of CNH Industrial farm machinery — including Case IH and New Holland brands — declined 18% in the second quarter of the year to $2.5 billion vs. $3.1 billion a year earlier.
Buhler Industries, the manufacturer of the Versatile and Farm King brands of ag equipment, reported its third quarter revenues were up more than 19% to nearly C$77 million.
Cervus Equipment Corp., the largest retailer of John Deere farm machinery in western Canada, posted a 4% increase in consolidated revenue in the second quarter 2020.
