John Deere announced it is opening 180 jobs in its factory in Montenegro, Rio Grande do Sul, the southernmost state of Brazil. 

The Vamos Group, a dealership of trucks, ag machinery and equipment in the Center-West of Brazil, in February opened the first Fendt dealership in the state of Goias. 

In February, Argentina’s National Industry Technology Institute and the National University of Rosario agreed to start a new institute for technological development and testing of agricultural machinery.

CNH Industrial announced its forecast to double the production of harvesters and tractors in its plant in the province of Córdoba, Argentina. 

Some of the top agricultural machinery brands already announced they would not participate in any ag fair throughout 2021 in Brazil. John Deere stated that this year the company will combine the virtual and real channels of contact with customers, but would not be in any of such events. 

John Deere announced in January that it will expand its factory located in Montenegro, Rio Grande do Sul, in Brazil. The facility, which opened in 2008, employs nearly 1,000 people and makes 43 tractor models.
