Cervus Equipment Reports 3Q15 Ag Sales Up 13%

Cervus Equipment Corp. (CVE) posted an increase in total ag equipment revenue of 16% for the period ending Sept. 30 and 19% through the first 9 months of 2015. During its third quarter, John Deere’s largest farm machinery dealer in Western Canada registered strong sales across the board: equipment revenues were up 13% (new –3%, used +44%), parts +29%, service +42%, rental and other +47%.

Large Ag Sales Continue Decline

North American large ag equipment sales declines continued in September. According to the latest unit sales figures released by the Assn. of Equipment Manufacturers, 4WD tractor sales are down 48.6% year-over-year (down 54.7% last month), combine sales fell 25.6% (down 28.1% last month), and row-crop tractor sales decreased 40.4% (down 30.9% last month).

North American large ag equipment sales declines accelerated in August. 4WD tractors sales saw the biggest decline at down 54.7% year-over-year (down 30.1% last month), combines sales dropped 28.1% (down 22% last month) and row-crop tractor sales declined 30.9% vs. the same period last year (down 22.9% last month), according to the latest unit sales figures released by the Assn. of Equipment Manufacturers on Sept. 10.
