North American large ag equipment sales continued to decline in October, with 4WD tractor sales down 18.1% year-over-year and combine sales down 27.7%, according to the Assn. of Equipment Manufacturers.
North American large ag equipment retail sales declined in September, with 4WD tractor sales down 25.7% year-over-year and combine sales down 26.6%, partially offset by row-crop tractor sales which increased 7.7% (+11.8% last month).
North American ag equipment retail sales growth generally decelerated in August, with row-crop tractor sales up 11.8% year-over-year (+15.3% last month), mid-range tractor sales up 11.5% (+15.2% last month), and combine sales down 16% (+10% last month).
North American sales of ag machinery continued to see upward growth in April, with row-crop tractors and combines leading the way with a 26.7% and 63% increase year-over-year, respectively.
First quarter sales revealed a negative trend domestically for Italian tractors, other self-propelled machinery and trailers, continuing the downward trend of the last 5 years, according to Italy’s FederUnacoma. Combines, however, showed positive growth for Italian equipment manufacturers.
