The latest report from Brazil’s Anfavea reveals that year-over-year tractor sales in January jumped by 71.6%, but were off by nearly 36% compared to December 2018.
National tractor sales in Australia ended a 5 year run of growth in 2018, ending 4.1% down on the prior year as buoyant business in some areas was more than offset by big declines in drought stricken eastern estates, according to the country’s national machinery trade body.
The latest report from Brazil’s Anfavea reveals that year-over-year tractor sales in December jumped by 19.2% and 11.2% compared to November 2018. For the full year, sales reached 39,301 units compared to 35,913 sold during the previous year, an increase of 9.4%.
Italy, the largest ag equipment producing country after the U.S. and Germany, will likely see an 11.9% decline in tractor exports by the end of 2018. This is according to FederUnacoma, the Italian Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers Federation, which also reports that national production is dropping in the country as a result. Even so, other equipment segments are performing strongly which should lead to a production value in line with 2017 levels.
